Mission
Established by the Youth in Wilayah Persekutuan and Selangor, the Horizon Short Film Festival aims to centre the current political and social climate in Malaysia, and we encourage the young people to share their perspectives and participate more in the existing political structure through arts and storytelling, to answer vital questions surrounding us as our next generation’s future appears to be standing in front a junction.
Vision
It’s important to acknowledge the present and everything that has been going on around us. We hope to provide an environment and platform to let the younger generations and young artists to speak out and discuss through the visuals of filmmaking. As the next General Election nears, we need storytelling more than ever, we need to start somewhere and young people need to be at the forefront, providing the imagination and innovation required to build anew.
